Baryons Inc. (hereinafter, "Baryons" or "we," "us," or "our") values and respects your privacy. We are dedicated to safeguarding your personal information while providing you with access to trusted, secure, responsible artificial intelligence ("AI") powered solutions. Below, we outline our commitment to data minimization, responsible data sharing practices, and robust security measures.
Data Minimization and User Experience. We are committed to collecting and storing only the minimal amount of personal information necessary to provide an exceptional, human-first experience.
Data Sharing. We utilize APIs to share relevant text snippets from your data connectors with trusted service providers, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs). We contractually require that our providers adhere to strict requirements regarding the use and safeguarding of your personal information. Importantly, these commercially available LLMs and SLMs do not use your data for model training, and all interactions are encrypted.
Data Storage and Security. All stored data is protected by stringent privacy standards. Your information is securely stored in isolated AWS containers, compliant with SOC2 Type II standards, and encrypted through our database service.
2. SCOPE
This Privacy Notice provides a comprehensive description of how we collect, use, and disclose personal information about visitors and users of our websites (each a "Site," or collectively, "our Sites"), online features, products, and services that link to this Privacy Notice, and information we collect via offline means, such as during interactions with our corporate suppliers and customers, via trade shows or other offline interactions, where applicable.
We process your personal information as necessary to provide you with the best experience possible as a customer (or potential customer) of Baryon's services (e.g., your business contact information) —when you visit a Baryon's public-facing website like https://baryons.ai; reach out to us ; or sign up for an account to use our online or offline offerings (collectively, the "Services").
For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, Baryons is a controller (i.e., responsible party) for the practices described in this Privacy Notice. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the extent that we process personal information in the role of a processor or service provider (as applicable) on behalf of our business customers. For information about the privacy practices of a Baryons business customer or a customer affiliate, please contact the respective business customer directly. We are not responsible for the privacy or data security practices of our business customers, which may differ from those set forth in this Privacy Notice.

3. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USAGE
Depending on how you use the services, we may collect the following types of personal information:
Information we receive directly from you when you submit a form to us or otherwise communicate with us, including but not limited to, identification information such as name, home and/or work mailing address, e-mail address(es), telephone number(s), social media profile, and billing and payment information. We may also receive information about your job title, roles, and responsibilities when you or your employer chooses to provide that information.
Information we collect about you or collect from third party sources for the purpose of providing the services from your transactions with us, our affiliates and others, such as information about your preferences or verification about your identity.
Information obtained when verifying your registration when using our Services, including but not limited to, username, password, secret questions, and secret answers for resetting passwords.
Information we collect automatically from your browser or mobile device, including but not limited to, Internet Protocol address, type of mobile device, mobile operating system, browser type, geographic location, pages you visit and the information you request, and the date and time of your access.
Information and metadata we collect regarding how you and others access and use the Services, including activity logs.
Baryons uses the above-listed personal information only as permitted by law, including for the following purposes:
To complete transactions and provide the Services authorized by you.
To enable you to access and use our Sites and associated applications, and to communicate with you about our Services.
For general business purposes, including but not limited to, to diagnose problems with the Sites, identify the source of service requests, to send you information about your account, to provide you access to your account, and to customize, measure, optimize, and improve our Services.
For other business purposes such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our Services and to enhance, customize and improve our features, products and Services.
To comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, agreements and policies, or to prevent, detect, identify, investigate, respond to, and protect against potential or actual claims, fraud, abuse, liabilities, security incidents, prohibited behavior and criminal activity.

We may also de-identify or aggregate personal information we collect from or about you. De-identified or aggregated information is generally not considered personal information.

Affiliated Companies. We may disclose personal information to companies that are affiliated with us. We may also disclose personal information that is collected between Sites that we, or our affiliates, control.

Baryons neither reviews, controls, nor is responsible for these third party sites or any content therein. By using such links, you will leave the Services. If you decide to access any of the third party websites linked to the Services, you do so entirely at your own risk. Baryons shall not be liable for any consequences arising from use of any third party websites to which the Services link.
7. SECURITY AND RETENTION
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is fully secure. While we use reasonable efforts designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. In the event that we are required by law to inform you of any unauthorized access to your personal information we may notify you electronically, in writing, or by telephone, if permitted to do so by law.
Some of our Sites permit you to create an account. When you do you will be prompted to create a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and you are responsible for any access to or use of your account by someone else that has obtained your password, whether or not such access or use has been authorized by you. You should notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or account.
We will retain your personal information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes, or as required to comply with applicable legal requirements.
8. YOUR CHOICES
Promotional Emails. If you receive an email from us, you may (i) unsubscribe from all future unsolicited emails from us through a link, typically at the bottom of the e-mail, or (ii) use our email preference center, also typically available through a link at the bottom of the e-mail, to opt out of receiving certain types of emails from us while continuing to receive other types of emails.
Promotional SMS/Text Messages. You can opt-out of receiving text messages from us by replying "STOP" to the text message you receive from us or following other instructions provided to you when you elected to receive texts. Please note that this will only opt you out of the specific text messaging program associated with that number.
Promotional Mailings. If at any time you do not want to receive offers and/or circulars from us you can remove yourself from our mailing lists by emailing us (our contact information is below) with "NO SNAIL MAIL" in the subject line along with your name, address and zip code. Please note that our mailings are prepared in advance of their being sent. Although we will remove your name from our mailing list after receiving your request, you may still receive mailings from us that had been initiated prior to your name being removed.
Targeted Advertising. If you would like to opt-out of the use of advertising cookies, you may do so by updating your preferences in the cookie preference center available on the Site.
9. CHILDREN
Our Services are not directed toward children under the age of thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If a child provided this Site with personal information, we ask that a parent or guardian send us a written request to the address listed below and we will promptly delete the child's personal information from our records.

Baryons is always improving our Services. As our Services evolve, we may update or amend this Privacy Notice. If we modify this Privacy Notice, we will post the revised Privacy Notice online. The revised Privacy Notice will be effective immediately at the time of posting, unless a later effective date is expressly stated therein. We will also revise the "Last updated" date stated below.
Should any modification materially change how we use your personal information, we will provide notice online prior to the effective date of the change.
It is your responsibility to periodically review this Privacy Notice. Users are bound by any changes to this Privacy Notice by using our Services after such changes have been first posted. If you do not agree to the new posted Privacy Notice, your only remedy is to discontinue use of the Sites.
